Our Programs:
New Kn.E.R.D.S. Music Project
The Music Project began in 2006 in the classroom of Anashay Wright in Gwinnett County. Over the past five years, membership has grown to include students from Gwinnett, DeKalb and Clayton Counties. The New Kn.E.R.D.S. assist in writing, recording and performing educational songs and skits across Metro Atlanta at various schools and community events. They have recorded two albums, “Borderline Geniuses © 2008” and “Kn.E.R.D.S. Rule the World © 2010” and have impacted over 30,000 students, teachers and schools in Georgia.
New Kn.E.R.D.S. University
This is an afterschool program that:
· Provides extended learning time for students in underperforming Title 1 schools
· Helps students overcome social barriers and respond positively to peer-pressure
· Makes learning fun and relevant by presenting educational standards in a non-traditional way
*Our first site is in partnership with Georgia House of Representative Rahn Mayo and DeKalb County Public Schools and is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2012.

It’s 2010 and the countdown to National Assessments, has begun. You have given your scholars: The content based on National Standards and Best Practices, research driven instructional strategies and “academic” plays needed for overall classroom success! However, we can’t forget the most “IMPORTANT” component….MOTIVATION!
According to Jim Wright, of www.interventioncentral.org, “One of the greatest frustrations mentioned by many teachers, is that their students are often not motivated to learn.”
No matter how great the strategies, content and instructional practices may be…If children are not inspired or motivated to achieve their full potential, they won’t! Real change begins with our way of thinking.
