Who are the New Knerds (www.newknerds.com)?

The New Knerds are young “education activist” serving as voice for social and educational issues students are facing inside and outside of schools. The New Knerds have created songs to educate the world about issues such as bullying, low-motivation in the classroom, violence among our youth, pervasive images on the internet and the list goes on!
The Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes Foundation (LLF) and Innovative Approaches Education Consulting Firm believe that “positive” music with an inspirational messageis one of our best “allies” in the fight for education. On behalf of LLF, we would like to present a group of scholars and teachers from elementary and middle schools in the Metro Atlanta Area known as the “New Knerds”. Kn.E.R.D.S. stand for: Knowledgeable-Educated-Relentlessly-Driven-Scholars. The New Knerds firmly believe that motivation is the “key” component to ensuring that our future leaders become most successful!

Our Mission:
The New Knerds aim to inspire our country’s future leaders, utilizing the Arts as tool to motivate, educate and inspire; in an effort to reshape and reform our current educational system.
